10 REASONS WHY RUNGU

#1. Rungu®Dualie’s™ Double Wheel Design

Rungu® Dualie’s™ double-wheel design makes riding much safer, as it virtually eliminates the washouts and over-the-bar wipeouts that are all too common with single-wheel e-bikes. It eliminates washouts with more tire surface on the ground when turning and wipeouts because the two wheels track turns more effectively. So, while others are falling, you’ll stay up on a Rungu®. As we like to say, “If you’re not seeing double, you’re gonna be in trouble.”

#2. Rungu®Dualie’s have a 7525 Weight Distribution

#2. Rungu® Dualie’s have a 75/25 Weight Distribution

Most bicycles and e-bikes have the weight distributed at a 90/10 proportion, putting most of the rider’s weight on the back tire and leaving the front end extremely light. The 75/25 weight distribution on a Rungu® allows the front tires to stay on the ground in turns and when going uphill.

#3. Rungu® Dualie™ E-Bike Advantage

Perhaps the most significant advantage of a Rungu® Dualie™ e-bike is its ability to go where other e-bikes cannot. This means soft sand, deep snow (up to nine inches or more), through mud, over rocks, over logs, and more.

#4. Ackerman Steering

#4. Ackerman Steering

Like virtually all vehicles with two front wheels, Rungu® features a form of Ackerman Steering in which each of the wheels has its own pivot path. In a turn, the wheel on the inside needs to turn sharper than the wheel on the outside, since the inner tire turns in a smaller circle than the outer one. The Ackerman Steering system was developed specifically to accommodate the twin radii needed for front wheels on a car, and we’ve used a form of the technology on the two front wheels of a Rungu®. This eliminates any tire slippage or fighting for control of the bike’s direction due to non-harmonious tracking and results in perfectly smooth turning, even with dual front tires, just as in a car.

#5. "Free Ride" Independent Suspension

Perhaps the most significant advantage of a Rungu® Dualie™ e-bike is its go-anywhere performance! This means soft sand, deep snow (up to nine inches or more), through mud, over rocks, over logs, and more.

#6. Straight Up Climb-ability

#6. "Straight Up" Climb-ability

Because the center of gravity on a Rungu® Dualie is much further forward than on other e-bikes, you’ll be able to climb much steeper hills without getting out of the saddle. In fact, on a Rungu®, you’ll be able to climb a 40 percent grade while on other e-bikes, you’ll lose front wheel traction at around 20 percent. That’s double the grade, a huge climb-ability advantage for Rungu®. Note: for perspective, the steepest road in the world, which happens to be in Pittsburgh, has a 37 percent grade. The steepest section of the Alpine Loop, the famous off-road mountain trail, is 22 percent, although it seems steeper.

#7. "Total Control" Wheelbase

The extra-long wheelbase on a Rungu® e-bike (the front of the frame is extended, so the dual wheels clear the rider’s feet while turning) gives you added stability as it puts your weight further back from the handlebars than conventional e-bikes. This makes ascending, and especially, descending hills easier while also reducing the potential for any over-the-handlebars wipeouts, too. You’ll notice the handlebars are positioned “backward” – this is to bring them comfortably into position for the rider given the extended frame.

#8. Crunch Free Modified Step-Through Frame

#8. "Crunch Free" Modified Step-Through Frame

Rungu® Dualie’s modified step-through frame allows for a considerably lower stand-over height while maintaining frame strength and integrity. Stand-over height is important. If you cannot stand over the bike without touching it, you run the risk of getting injured. This is especially important to hunters, who are typically wearing a fair amount of clothing. And, nobody likes standing on their tiptoes to avoid a crotch crunch.

#9. "Double Up" Battery System

Rungu® Dualie Extra Range (XR) models feature a dual battery system that gives you twice the total battery life, which dramatically extends your effective travel range. The dual batteries operate in parallel, so you don't have to swap one out for the other. Without pedal assist, a Rungu®Dualie XR can go up to 32 miles on a charge. With pedal assist the range that range can double!

#10. Stand Alone Storage

#10. "Stand Alone" Storage

Another advantage of Rungu® Dualie’s double-wheel design is the fact that the bike stands upright on its own without the need for a kickstand. And, we all know how well kickstands work on soft ground - they sink! The ability of Rungu to stand on its own also makes it easier to mount or dismount and eliminates trying to figure out where to lean or lay down your bike.
